Our Guests Say It Best, “The Graystone Event Center was a wonderful place to host the wedding rehearsal and reception for our children. The space was large enough to host all our guest 230, with room to spare. The space offered a walk in cooler to cool our beverages and keep food cold until needed. There was a warmer for our use, as well as a freezer, and ice chest full of ice. The tables, chairs, and linens, plus bar tending station were provided with our package. We were able to pick up the key on Friday at noon and didn’t have to return it until Sunday at 8:30 a.m. It was great to be able to come and go and set things up on our schedule without having to be let in and out each time. The event planner made several great suggestions for area DJ, caterers, liquor vendors, draping designer, etc… Our experience was excellent.”

The 6100 sq.ft. of venue spaces is divided between two ballrooms, each of which can be broken up into smaller rooms to fit your event size perfectly.
Graystone also features a large prep kitchen equipped with an ice chest, refrigerator, freezer, walk-in cooler, and hot boxes.

The standard linen option is available in black and white, while the upgraded floor-length linen, overlays, and napkins are available in a full range of colors. Spandex covers are available for a limited number of 6ft and 8ft rectangle tables and highboy cocktail tables.

How many people does the Graystone Event Center accommodate?
Capacity is based upon the room layout. There are certain Grand Ballroom layouts that accommodate up to 300 people and there are certain East Ballroom layouts that can accommodate up to 100 people. The Grand Ballroom can be split into three rooms and the East Ballroom can be split into two rooms.
What does Graystone Event Center’s room rental fee include?
The room rental fee includes all 6 ft. round tables, 8 ft. rectangle tables, and chairs needed for the event per the agreed layout. Please Note: Cocktails tables are not included in the rental fee.
Is table linen included with the room rental?
No, linen available to rent for an additional fee. Please inquire with the sales manager for available linen options.
Do we have to clean the space after an event has occurred?
Clean up is included with the service charge. We only ask you please collect all décor, food, and personal items, and removal any garbage from tables and surrounding areas by the allotted time noted on contract.
What does the service charge cover?
The service charge includes the design of the event layout, set up, tear down, and clean up.
Is there a cut off for upgrades or changes to layout?
Yes, layout changes and upgrades are accepted up to 30 days prior your event.
Are there any price breaks?
Yes! The Center offers a room rebate. Please inquire with the sales manager for additional information.
Is there a bar or place in the center for cocktail hour?
Yes, the Center offers two (2) mobile bars, a kegerator, and keg taps for rent. The sales manager will help you find the ideal location to include the bar in your layout.
Can we bring in our own alcoholic beverages?
Yes, but we do recommend you use a TIPS Credited Bartender. In addition, a 1 million Host Liquor and/or Retail Liquor Liability Insurance Policy in required. Insurance policies shall be purchased from a carrier licensed to do business in the State of Michigan, and shall name Graystone Event Center and Bryeten LLC., W. US-10, Ludington, MI 49431 as an additional named insured. *See Contract for full details.
Can we bring in our own cake, candy table, popcorn table or the like?
Yes, you can provide cake, candy, and cupcakes. Please Note: Gum and suckers are not allowed on candy tables. A fee may incur if items are found in the center.
Do you have any restrictions on entertainment?
No, we allow you to bring in any DJ or musician you like. Most offer great lighting options too!
Does the center provide dishware?
Yes, please work directly with the caterer of choice and they will include the rental fee for the dishware.
Can we bring in our own food?
You may bring in prepackaged, store bought food. A preferred caterer must be used for all other circumstances. Please inquire with the sales manager for an updated list of preferred caterers, we are always adding more great caterers to our list!
Does the hotel have a shuttle for guests?
No, the hotel does not offer a shuttle service. Please inquire with sales manager for list of transportation vendors.

When alcohol will be present, Graystone Event Center requires the group to purchase Host or Retail Liability Insurance with $1 million of coverage. Retail Liability Insurance is required if money is exchanged for alcohol in any form, including cash bar, drink tickets, or cover charge. When no money is exchanged, only Host Liability Insurance is required.
